Product, UX design, BRAND strategy

A hand holding a phone, lit red.

Seventeen years of product and UX design — Counterpart Health, Amazon One Medical, Cisco AppDynamics, Capital One; seven of them leading design teams. I work where interface design meets complex workflows, and platforms where multiple teams have to ship something coherent. Strong engineering partnership, research-driven.

Inside (the) practice

I help companies deliver AI-enabled workflows designed for humans, when it really matters.

Scroll — the roles run right

  • 2025 Counterpart Health

    2025 — 2026

Staff UX designer. Clinical software for AI-assisted care, built for clinicians at the point of care.

  • 2022 Amazon One Medical

    2022 — 2024

Senior design manager. Led the provider and care-team redesign. Five designers on my team made senior.

  • 2017 Cisco AppDynamics

    2017 — 2022

Senior designer, then design manager, then chief of staff for product design. Process and standards across global teams.

  • 2016 Capital One

    2015 — 2016

Nine shipped features, including a messenger for restaurant and retail staff, and a design system across iOS, Android, and desktop.

  • 2010 Mule Design · Digital Gear

    2010 — 2015

Visual design, art direction, research, client presentations, and prototypes in hand-written HTML and CSS.

  • 2009 Banter Media

    2009 — 2012

Sites for record labels, micro-sites for bands, flyers and album art. The music work is where I started.

01 — Flagship / platform

From admin checklist to point of care assistant

A clinical assistant used by primary care physicians had grown into four disconnected experiences and feature bloat. I led the visioning for its redesign — workshops, an end-to-end vision prototype, then the roadmap, team structure and architecture that carried it to a shipped MVP.

02 — Feature

Helping physicians gain context when time is precious

The pre-visit brief was working as a concept and failing as a page — clinicians were being asked to read where they needed to scan. I ran design experiments, studied how mature products in adjacent industries solve the same problem, and shipped three information-architecture improvements into the alpha build.

03 — Care coordination

Improving the care for hospitalized patients

Health Navigators were tracking hospital admissions for One Medical's highest-risk patients in a copy-paste spreadsheet. I led the design of an Admissions Board built into the EHR, aligning multiple teams on where it should live and what care teams needed at a glance: clear ownership, service standards and next steps.
